BURLESKETCH! Let's Compete

"Burlesketch" contains 2 meanings/definitions, one is Burlesque Sketch and the other is  Burle Sketch, meaning Ampler models to draw. so we'll vary the themes with both styles keeping things really Fun with also a Monthly BIG AUDITIONS where all new models and in fact anyone can audition using a model name and without recording the auditions. Burlesketch is always recorded with the model's agreement. Recording or grabbing at your end if utterly forbidden.

Burlesque Drawing was a mega success both here in London sohoweekly and in the US with DR Sketchy monthly, so there is no reason why it couldn't be re-started online as creative Entertainment to get through this terrible Coronavirus period.

Many amazing artists, Fashion designers, cartoonists, do Love Burlesque classes and can now compete Live and or from the recording of the session and win 10% of all takings so time to let social media friends know.

Poses: from 5 to 20 mins with more than usual 10 mins poses.

Tutor: Tony James Picanco, Portrait Artist, Founder of www.thelifedrawingnetwork.com, previously the Life Drawing Society as seen on TV, Radio, Press, Youtube. Worked hard at saving in Person classes from 2004, it is now a buzzing industry globally. Before 2004 Tony was a Press, model, Music and event photographer and at 6pm we draw mainly his images.

Modeling Style: Great costumes, outfits to draw in first part but becomes nearly Life drawing after performance. Until numbers grow we'll draw the same costumes but loosing parts of it as we go until nearly life Drawing and without performance. Share your drawings on Social media to help grow numbers back to what it was.

Timing: This is a true drop in anytime Class allowing those with not so good connection to pop in and out at anytime.

• 6.15pm: Everyone join and wait in the Digital waiting room checking if anything is announced such as our Folder to upload our drawings or donation link.
• 6.25pm: All participants get admitted to the Live class and can now ask questions verbally or using the chat function.
• 6.32pm: We introduce our model/performer of the Day, start the Music, the recording  and  the Drawing starts with short poses.
• Then 10 mins x5
• 7.15/20 or whenever we like we start our 2 x 20 mins poses. Timing will vary depending on wether we have a performance or not/enough participants to have one.
• 8.32pm the Drawing ends and drawing and performer appreciation starts where Artists can also show their other Artworks.
• 9pm or earlier: We sadly say goodbye to each other until next day for regulars or next time for others (see our diary of classes at www.thelifedrawingnetwork.com).

Prices:  A Burlesketch class without performance costs £10/$12 or £15/$18 with performance, to be able to compete, get the recording or to simply donate, knowing that this will be shared 50/50 with the model performer.

if you cannot make it to the Live class and prefer to use the recording or Both from Live and recording you need to purchase your  £15/$18 ticket here before, during or at anytime after the event has ended with the link to the recording emailed to you automatically.

 If you are or become a "Fun to Draw" monthly plan member this is again emailed to you automatically when ready. Occasionally the  Model will use multiple cameras, time will be spent editing so that video can become available as a Video Hire for £20/$25+. Local Copyright laws apply.

Share your Drawings:

Please take a snap of your Artwork with your mobile and privately share on the following links so we can add them to our Newsletters, our Members drawings gallery, Flickr, our "Creative friends" group on FB and our Art Map, using your name rather than surname. Keeping our members and models private is our absolute priority which is why we don't sell their videos/recordings. We protect  pages with passwords, use video hiring  with encryption and  if I get asked to, can create storage folders for you with latest encryption (Maximum security).

Those who'd like to exhibit their Artworks or have them used for publication only need to email them to us in low/medium res. for now, high res. when we start using them.

While I spend an other hour after every class uploading the saved videos, please upload your drawings in one of the following  folders, depending on drawings and/or the classes you attended.

Art Map:

In 2022 when you open your eyes again, after weeks of Christmas isolation, you'll be pleasantly surprised to find a Map, where people and organizations will appear anywhere and everywhere in the World where they'll be able to work, draw, Create together, this could be you too. Stay put until we can show the new born Website around Christmas

Togetherness rather than Business:

We tried for the last 18 years to open new classes in new places, where no one has ever drawn before (about 300 in London UK), trying to bring classes to everyone, everywhere no matter the cost or what the establishment would think and succeeded in evey possible way... Now it has become much easier with zoom to just do get together and draw, so I can happily, continue what I started, which  originally was to just save in person classes from disappearing. With your support I'll keep on improving, influencing, giving, sharing more than ever in 2022.

How to Access to a Class:

You only need to install Zoom from www.zoom.us on any device you are planning to use.  Connecting your laptop to your big TV is highly recommended. You can then use the link you'll receive by email (or the Meeting ID which is simply the numbers used in the URL link). For Free events this is the usual method but for paid events you usually buy a ticket on our home page at www.thelifedrawingnetwork.com or Eventbrite only if you are only interested in going to the Live event (FREE). We do not use passwords and only have our Waiting room from which we let you in rapidly at anytime.

Once you are in, you land in the waiting room so you know that the meeting is definitely happening and that you'll be accepted in very soon. Once you've been accepted in, you can switch on your Sound, video and ask any question using the chat function. The quickest way to unmute yourself is to hold the space bar on your laptop, otherwise click on the mike icon at the bottom of your screen. All will be muted, including the model if needed during the Drawing time.

In a meeting:  Keep your camera ON, make sure your phone is on Silent, just in case, keep yourself muted and if you happen to not find your email with the ticket and zoom link then please do not hesitate to text me on +44 7951613705 (call or voicemails aren't used due to spammers) or email me, Tony, at eukart at msn.com. You can also find Zoom support videos on Youtube or on their website at www.zoom.us.

Please keep your camera on so we get to know who you are and models also feel much better, especially Burlesque models who are used to a buzzing Live audience. When asked to cheer or clap please try to participate :).

At the end of every class our model will choose her best Drawing and the winner will receive 10% of all takings on the day with a bank to bank transfer or Paypal. This can also be given to the model in their appropriate Patreon group, we'll send you to.
